House Now…

Here is our house now at it’s present state! It has come a long way. We have had plumbing replaced, wood floors redone, wall paper removed from every room, re-tiled both bathrooms and kitchen, and basically everything you can think of. It has been a dream come true for us and we’ve learned a lot. We have had to sacrifice some vacations, save, learn new skills, and be thrifty on a meager income but we did it! Phew!

Marilyn, I seriously can’t believe this is the same house! I can’t believe how much it’s changed!! Jason is a lucky man to have you around :). Your house is a gem; you are so talented. When we get a new house, will you come home to Texas and decorate it for me??

Such a gorgeous house! I wish we were in the market–I love your kitchen! When you say you had the wood floors redone, what did that entail? (On our main floor there must have been wood flooring at some point, but it’s gone now, and I’d love to have wood flooring again!) Did you revarnish or did you tear out and install new stuff? We also love the pictures and the mirror–we’ve already put them up–I’m hoping some of your gorgeous decorating skills will rub off on me–but I don’t hold out much hope…

Hey Anne! I just got this comment. Varnishing entails renting a professional sanding machine from Home Depot, Staining, and the putting a layer of polyurethane. It isn’t a quick job but it looks fabulous when you are finished. I can give you more pointers in person if you are interested just let me know!

You are one of the most amazing women I know. I am SOOOOOOOOO sad that we don’t live in the same town anymore. I don’t even know how you have time to do any of these things with two little ones. I have been thinking about you since you just moved and realized I haven’t checked your blog and then I saw it had changed. I love it! But I miss you more now. Love,
