We’ve been working on the project for a while. But finally this last weekend, we completed it. Yay! Progress!!
SPOILER ALERT! Okay, since you are my friends here on my blog, I will tell you a little secret which I would probably not mention face to face. These are attachments to our existing garage door, which are very affordable for $50 a window, and easy to install. You can do it, too! I LOVE how they look. You can honestly not tell they are not real. They took us forever to put up because we were nervous about drilling holes in our garage door just in case we didn’t like it and we ended up painting them and repainting the garage door so they all perfectly matched which took a while to get right in our baby step state of progression. We have 4 kids and a lot of other goals we are always working for so baby steps is our motto. Check out this video!
Here I added the middle trim which you can see half way up the stairs. This is the first step to adding the shadow box trim as in the next picture that I would like to add eventually. Baby steps, baby steps is what I keep telling myself.
Eventually… I want to do this. Yay, I’ve completed step one!
Sometimes progress is slow in coming but progress is progress. I had to tweek these seat covers by unstitching a section and sewing it up by hand to allow the seat belt to fit right but they look and feel much better. I couldn’t find any that fit right eventhough they said they would work for my vehicle, so I decided to make work what I could find. 🙂
This is what you would see on my kitchen wall! Yay! These are 2 of the 5 must haves I mention on the sidebar of the blog. I will go into the others later but I’ve been so busy lately I wanted to post SOMETHING. More action is happening over on the Mom Made Magic Facebook Group. If you have a minute come on over and participate in the contest question of the month!
Another amazing tip I have discovered is that if you keep your fridge clean, in addition to meal planning, it is somehow easier to eat healthy. I think it is because when I open the fridge and see it neat and tidy, and not a flood of chaos, those positive vibes carry over into desiring to eat right, too? It really does help me and I thought I would share. 🙂
This is before I went to the store, so it was nice to have space to store things when I got back. It doesn’t always happen before. Sometimes I clean it as I am putting in the new groceries but it does help a ton to strive to clean it each week. 🙂
